Parker

Maggie Paige Parker was born and raised in Dallas Texas, and grew up with a Rhodesian heritage. With roaming cowboys and the African Savanah as her ancestry how could she not love nature and all of its unfathomable qualities that God imbued into it. When Maggie looks at the world she cannot help but see all of the Sublime wonders around us. The Sublime being the incomprehensible grandeur of the world. Maggie feels compelled to express that wonder through writing and painting.

Can't is a word that was never in her dictionary. Maggie was told she would never read above an average level, but her love of books drove her to fight and excel in the written work. She was told she would never make it as an artist, but she loved art, so she chose to endure and have paintings displayed in galleries. She was told she would have to choose one passion over the other, but the word and brush were two halves of her very being, so she chose to work hard at both, and pursue an education in each. According to Maggie, there is no such word as can't, only doubt. She believes that faith, strength, and the courage to be kind are all that is needed to make passion a reality. Whatever she does she gives it her very all. Even if she falls down she stands back up to dust off her jeans, and keep moving forward.

Maggie’s goal is to one day teach English Literature at the university level. She wants to bring art into writing, and show students that nothing has to stand between them and their passions. As for painting, Maggie does freelance work: for painting, like writing, must be practiced day in and day out to achieve not just success, but an advancement in work and spirit.
